LNT = Leave No Trace
As in previous years, we will follow all of the LNT principles. We got an “all clear” on the cleanup crew’s post-event map last year and will be doing everything we can to get do an even better job of it this year.
- Evaporation pond with a shower/grey water policy to allow for total evaporation by the end of the week.
- Trash bins and an “all campers take home trash” policy.
- Daily MOOP (matter out of place) patrols.
- “Clean as you go” policy.
- Divided trash bins for recyclables, burnables, and other trash.
- MOOP grid walk scheduled immediately after camp is taken down and packed up.
- All holes in the playa from stakes and burying cables will be filled in completely.
- Two hour general playa clean up required of each camper.
